I was asked to design some characters that are girl and boy scouts.  It was a fun process coming up with different personalities for everyone.  Here’s a little sample.

Well I just started a character design class and our first assignment was to design a Native American Shapes with the body shape of a circle, square, and triangle respectively.  It was really fun and actually surprisingly challenging to think up new creative ways to make the different shapes fit into all aspects of the character’s design and personality.  I also tried speed modeling some old man Native American heads loosely based off of my grandpa.  They are also roughly in the circle, square, and triangle shapes.  For now I just have the heads but I might post samples of the other stuff later. :)

.. ha!  They are not mine. XD  A coworker of mine asked me to do a simple design for he and his lady-to-be.  They wanted cute little stick figure people, so this is what I came up with for them. (The quotes were written by the bride to be.) I had a lot of fun doing it and I think the card turned out really cute.  They used this nice rustic paper with twine threaded in it that was tied in a knot that was supposed to represent their marriage.  I’m just happy they liked the cards. :> Pics below!

Ok! Here is the finished body turnaround of Grace. :D   Next step is clothes and posing.  There are a couple things that I still want to mess with obviously such as finishing up her hair and adding the glasses I had in the last image.  So far, though, I am having a lot of fun!

Well here it is.. Grace is all texture mapped and ready for some color!  First it’s time to sculpt her up and give her some clothes though. ;) (click for larger image)

Starting with a sculpt of Grace. :) Here is the super early prelim version.  I’m still trying to decide how I want to pose her.  Maybe holding a gun or jumping or something? XD

Thought I’d add an individual portrait of Grace since I already have one of Ros. :)   She ended up looking more angry than I had intended..
