Well I just started a character design class and our first assignment was to design a Native American Shapes with the body shape of a circle, square, and triangle respectively.  It was really fun and actually surprisingly challenging to think up new creative ways to make the different shapes fit into all aspects of the character’s design and personality.  I also tried speed modeling some old man Native American heads loosely based off of my grandpa.  They are also roughly in the circle, square, and triangle shapes.  For now I just have the heads but I might post samples of the other stuff later. :)

Well finals are upon us, which means here are a ton of final projects that were due this week!

This is a creature I designed for my games class. :)

I have an original design for this creature a little earlier on in the blog.  Here he is all modeled in 3D.

This one is a base mesh, basic human sculpt for Organic Modeling.

Ok I totally couldn’t help myself. On the left is the 2nd head I have ever done… on the right is the THIRD head I’ve ever done. HOLY DIFFERENCE, BATMAN! Really though, I’m happy and sort of feel like I’m getting somewhere with ZBrush now.

Here is my final Man.  Even though I only got a B on him, I am kinda proud of him.  It’s the first thing I’ve ever really seriously gone out to model.  Sorry it’s so damn small, though.  This is a snapshot from a movie file and the file itself was too small to begin with.

Well here’s the final Tubby.  My teacher wasn’t too happy with her and I don’t particularly blame him.  I didn’t have much time or motivation to do anything by the end of the semester.  Anyways, here she is in all of her non-Tubby glory.
